Gen Control has over 23 year’s experience in the repair, upgrading, refurbishing and maintenance of all generators and control panels. Our technical division consists of qualified electrical and mechanical generator technicians, a workshop foreman, generator assemblers, control panel wiremen and general assistants. All our work is done in strict accordance to supplier recommendations & specifications. Generator systems without the relevant information are always conducted according to SANS recommendations and practices. All work is carried out according to the most up to date South African occupation and health standards. Our OHASA policy and documentation has been prepared by an independent specialist to ensure that our practises are aligned to the correct standards. We have a qualified Risk Assessor that does a site evaluation to all before work commences, and our staff are trained and informed on a continual basis to ensure our record stays incidence free.

Generator Maintenance 

• On site fault finding, modification and repair of generator installations, including synchronising and mains control.
• Equipped to service all sizes and makes of petrol and diesel generators
• Fault finding and repair of Alternators, including fitment of new automatic voltage regulators.
• Scheduled service level agreements for the planned maintenance of all makes of petrol and diesel generators systems.
• Onsite load bank testing of generators up to 400 kva.
• Manufacture and design of dummy load and test load banks up to 400kw.
• Modernising, programming, rewiring, replacement and fitting of all types of controllers.
• Installation and management of communication systems for generators – GSM (Webnet) and LAN.
• Diesel fuel conditioning and tank cleaning up to 500 Litre tanks.
• The electrical and electronic component of the generator is included in the comprehensive maintenance schedule, ensuring that the complete unit is at an optimum operational standard and not just the mechanical aspect.
• A comprehensive maintenance and repair history is recorded in our database and scheduled service reminders are issued to all our customers.
